Today is another travel day, this time from Bergen to Oslo. You can take a train between the two cities, but since the ride would be about 7 hours and sitting on a train for that long is definitely not our preference, we're flying. It's about a 45-minute journey instead. Although you then have to deal with the airport and all the transportation to-and-from...so there's that. Bergen airport is actually quite nice so it's an easy place to wait for your flight. It's a foggy day

It's an overcast day in Bergen, but still nice to be out and about. We passed the funicular yesterday and decided to take a ride up the hillside today. This is another popular thing to do so be prepared to get in line and wait your turn. There are two funicular that basically run back-to-back, so you won't wait very long for the next ride. Today we head back to Bergen. It was a nice stay in Flåm and I very much enjoyed our time here. Now to brave the Flåmsbana back to Myrdal. It is once again a mad rush to board the train. It's amazing how people completely disregard common decency when boarding this train and I don't think I'll understand the attitude of shoving your way to the front just to run to a seat. Today's big event is a fjord ferry, the highlight of the trip and the reason we're in Flåm. This is also the reason most, if not all, people come to Flåm. Part of me is a little worried that it'll be crazy busy, and the line waiting to board does make it seem like it might be. But as we board and find standing room, with be moving to the bottom deck instead of standing with everyone else at the top deck, we got a pretty good spot. Suffice to say, the ferry is totally worth it

These last two days were mostly transit days. Yesterday we flew from Copenhagen to Bergen - which has a very nice and surprisingly quiet airport. Our one-night layover was at Opus XVI, very conveniently located to the bus station (and city center), yet tucked away just enough off the main road to be quiet.
