Today is catch-up day. Mom's still feeling the affects of whatever germ got her so we take it nice and easy in the morning with our usual slow breakfast. Then it's laundry time! Fun stuff.
With mom under the weather we choose to grab some food to take back to the apartment for lunch. Osteria Pizzeria Il Vicolo does take away and is a short walk away - less than 10 minutes. Why not! We order pici cacio e pepe (cheese and pepper), pici with ragu (I think it was wild board) and the house salad for dad. Not amazing, but hard to do this kind of pasta as take away. But the cacio e pepe was really good. At first when we got the food dad and I were confused because they have us a pizza box...double-checked and yep, it's not pizza. Alright then! Thankfully when we get home it is in fact salad. I don't think I've ever gotten a salad in a pizza box before. It works though.

After lunch, dad and I head out for a walk around the town for some exercise. Aiming to walk where we haven't yet. We covered pretty good ground, most of the eastern side of the city, about two miles. Now for a photo montage!

A bit of a siesta after all that walking before heading out to pickup dinner - there's a gourmet market (at least that's what I call it) just up the street from the apartment, Menchetti Siena, that has fantastic looking pizza. And it's delicious!

Time to rest before heading to our next destination tomorrow.

Ciao!
